Regina is a lost gem of an opera; Lillian Hellman's The Little Foxes set to both classic opera music as well as new forms such as blues and ragtime. The story centers around the downfall of a family that allowed unchecked greed to overrun its sense of decency. Only the daughter, Alexandra, sees this for what it is. The lighting for the greedy world is cold and stuffy, the lighting for Alexandra's world is warm and natural, emanating from the huge window.
